Purchase a real estate of dream in LAKE DU BOURGET

With its 18 km long, Lake Bourget is the largest natural lake in France, with the exception of Lake Geneva (which is partly located in Switzerland).

Of glacial origin, the lake was formed around 19,000 years ago by the walkout of the great glaciers of the Quaternary.

Between the foothills and mountains, Lake Bourget is a natural site of ecological interest, home to many species of birds and fish. Its western shore, uninhabited and inaccessible by land, was also called 'wild coast'.

Lake Bourget is a very popular spot in summer for its beaches and water sports, near which is Aix-les-Bains the well known Spa Town that has the "France Station Nautique" label.

Aix-les-Bains has the largest freshwater port in France, with 1500 still rings and the rendezvous of choice for boaters on Lake Bourget.

Aix-les-Bains is also :

  • 25 min from Annecy
  • 50 min from Geneva and its international airport
  • 1:30 from Courchevel and the Tarentaise valley
  • 1:10 from Lyon
  • 400 km from Paris
